…my debut book…
Golden threads
Hello friends!!
This collection of poetry is about the journey that we take back home to find ourselves. It is centered around the process of metamorphosis, traversing themes of healing, hope, self-exploration, surrender and connection to the natural world. Together, we explore grief, chronic illness, resilience, courage, and finding one’s voice... It is an unapologetically raw and brave collection of work that invites the reader to come home inside their body, remember who they are on the deepest of levels, and rise to meet the life that is waiting on the other side of fear.
This is a limited first edition print run with a set number of copies available. As of August 3, 101 / 250 copies have been claimed. To ensure you do not miss out, order at your earliest convenience! Additional print runs will depend on demand.
GOLDEN THREADS IS FOR…
This book is for anyone who has been (or is being) reborn into a new version of themselves. It is a tale of desperation and hope, passion and pain, exponential growth and nonlinear healing. Golden Threads is a reminder to draw outside the lines, trust our inner knowing, and create the rules to our own game. These poems remind us that everything we need can be found inside of ourselves.
Golden Threads invites the reader to go beneath the surface of their own life, to ponder the deeper questions alongside the author. Its pages provide a sense of comfort and hope knowing that we are all on this journey together, riding the same waves. These poems are a 24-28 year old woman’s voice finding her way in the world after a powerful wakeup call in the deserts of Spain. It is relatable to any human wishing to deepen their connection to self and better understand the process of feeling to heal. It does not gloss over pain or dull beauty. It is a powerful anthology about coming home from my heart to the hearts of many.

HOW IT’S MADE…
I am printing through Greenerprinter. Books are printed using 100% post consumer recycled paper including the cover. Only vegetable-based and algae inks (no petroleum). All materials are FSC certified. The mill recirculates every drop of water 30 times and uses 6x less water than the average of this industry. Power is mostly solar and windmill generated.
It is incredibly important to me to bring my book to life in a way that reflects what the book itself stands for and my own values on the matter. Printing and publishing as a whole is a very wasteful industry and I am circumnavigating that entire arena by choosing a printer (and publisher - ME!) that cares just as much as I do about our impact on this planet and our connection to nature.
Orders are packaged in 100% recycled paper & algae ink printed mailers from EcoEnclose OR leftover packaging I have from past projects OR reused packaging from mailers I have personally received.
Thank you for supporting printing and packaging that works FOR our connection to each other and the health of all beings.

PRAISE FOR GOLDEN THREADS
“SYDNEY CRUTCH's poems build an enchanting narrative that cycles through the archetypal stages of transformation. What's remarkable about Sydney's poems is how her story overlaps with the lives of her readers — stepping out from one's ordinary world, experiencing the pushes and pulls of exploring new territory, finding balance upon the precipice of loss, and ultimately, moving into a new, expanded sense of self.”
Aaron Lelito, Editor in Chief of Wild Roof Journal
"Beautiful. Intentional. Channeled from an old soul."
Kory Kirby, Publisher for Little Cabin Press
"Golden Threads stands out for its ability to articulate the unspeakable complexities of human emotion and the intricate patterns of thought that emerge in the face of adversity. Crutch’s prose is both a mirror and a window, reflecting the reader's innermost struggles while offering a vista into experiences that, though deeply personal, resonate with universal themes of loss, hope, and renewal. Her exploration of nature’s role in the healing process—a recurring motif in the book—underscores the interconnectedness of the human experience with the wider world, suggesting that solace and strength can be found in the embrace of the natural world.”
Rebecca Rijsdijk, Editor in Chief of Sunday Mornings at the River
"Deeply personal & profound, Golden Threads weaves together eloquent lines & powerful symbolism to tell the story of a woman's transformation as she finds meaning & connection in herself, nature, and community. This beautiful book inspires readers in their journey toward self-discovery and invites them to take a deeper look at the world & themselves."
Madison Foster, Editor in Chief of Carolina Muse Literary & Arts Magazine
"Sectioned elementally, Golden Threads explores the complexities of being human by diving into the natural world of adventure, opportunities, the unexpected, and the undiscovered. With a raw voice and the ability to reflect deeply & meaningfully, SYDNEY CRUTCH adds an excitingly unique style to the poetic landscape."
Amanda Conover, Poetry Editor of Carolina Muse Literary & Arts Magazine
"Golden Threads delves into a raw and profound transformation journey catapulted by grief. Through poetic imagery and powerful verses, SYDNEY CRUTCH intimately shares her inner metamorphosis and inspires the reader to reflect on their own view of vulnerability."
Ingrid Pámanes, Author of Thoughts that became poems
“This book is a rich sensorial experience that can help all of us revive that powerful connection between body and nature. Sydney's unique way with words conveys her deep and profound relationship to feeling. I found myself easily moving from headspace to heartspace along her healing journey. Readers will leave with greater wisdom and awareness, both within their own body and its intuitive, innate place amongst the natural world.”
